Analysis of packet transfer delay of resilient packet Ring in store-and-forward architecture

The packet transfer delay of the RPR in store-and-forward architecture was analyzed based on the queuing theory. The high and low priority traffic packet transfer delays and the relationship between the packet transfer delay and the node number N were discussed. It was proved that the high and low priority packet transfer delays increased with the node number N, and the transfer delay of the low priority traffic packet was larger than that of the high priority traffic packet at the same node number N, and the increment of the low priority traffic packet transfer delay was larger than the high priority traffic packer transfer delay with the increment of the node number.
