| Abstract: | This article expatiates on historical background about special theory of relativity from three aspects as follows: firstly,classical physics faces new challenge;secondly,Michelson-Morley interference experiment; thirdly,the development of Einstein's thought in course of establishing special theory of relativity. This is helpful for understanding special theory of relativity. |
