试论孟子的民族思想

孟子是我国战国时期的伟大思想家,当时,我国除了华夏族之外,四周还存在着夷蛮戎狄等民族集团,对此,孟子的思想中必定会有所反映。本文认为孟子的民族思想主要由以文化作为标准划分民族的思想、朴素的民族平等思想、歧视少数民族落后文化的民族歧视思想、通过“以夏变夷”实现民族一体化的思想等四个部分组成,并对其作出分析。

On Mencius' National Thoughts

Mencius was the great thinker in the Warring States Dynasty. There were Yi, Man, Rong, Di ethnic groups besides Huaxia Nationality, which had been reflected in Mencius'thoughts. Mencius'national thoughts are composed of four parts: the thought of distinguishing the nationalities by culture, the thought of all nationalities being simply equal, the thought of discriminating minorities of unenlightened culture, the thought of integrating all the nationalities by turning wild people into civilized people.
