Abstract:Using an Earth model with the structure of spherical symmetry,we can calculate the static Love numbers from order 2 to 30 according to Molodensk's theory. In calculation five Earth models (1066A, 1066B, C2, PEM-C, and PEM-A) are adopted, and the results can be found in tables 1-2. The major purpose of this study is to explore how the physical parameters of the Earth models influence the value of the second-order Love numbers. The obtained results are given in Tables 3-8, and illustrated by Figures 1-2. The conclusions in this article can be used for reference in the calculation of the Love numbers for the terrestrial planets.
