概念隐喻理论的认知研究及其在英语词汇教学中的应用

摘    要:大量词汇的意义演变是通过隐喻的方式进行,因为隐喻不仅仅是修辞现象更重要是一种思维方式。隐喻对于词汇习得有着重要作用。本文从介绍概念隐喻理论入手,分析概念隐喻理论应用于英语词汇教学的可行性及实效性,并提出一些改进英语词汇教学的方法。

Abstract:The meaning of a lot of words is evolved by means of metaphor because metaphor is not only a kind of rhetorical device but also a universal way of thinking. Metaphor plays an important role in the acquisition of vocabulary. And it's considered to be the mapping from the source domain to the target domain. The paper introduces the conceptual .metaphor theory, analyzes the feasibility and effectiveness of its application in English vocabulary teaching and supposes some methods for English vocabulary teaching.
