话语标记语的语用功能及其对英语口语教学的启示

摘    要:话语标记语是口语交际中特有的语用机制。在话语生成过程中,话语标记语具有为说话者合理组织并表达自己的思想从而促使交际顺利进行的功能。依据Sperber&Wilson(1995)所提出的关联理论,从认知语用学角度分析其在话语生成和理解过程中的语用功能,并结合实际阐明:在话语生成过程中,话语标记语有助于说话者对听活者的话浯处理能力、语境信息等加以控制;有助于说话者在话语生成时更加灵活地组织语篇以达交际意图。教师在英浯u语孜学中,应高度重视话语标记语的重要性,并将其语用功能列入教学大纲有计划地讲授,以期有效交际的真正实现。

Abstract:The discourse markers are the pragmatic mechanism typical of oral communication. During the course of generation of discourse, they have the function of reasonably organizing and expressing ideas for speakers and promoting the smooth communication. According to the relevance theory put forward by Sperber & Wilson, from the pragmatic perspective, this paper analyses their function in the course of generation and comprehension of discourse. And based on the reality, it aims to illustrate that in the course of generation of discourse, the discourse markers help speakers to control the listeners'discourse handling ability and context information and organize the text in a more flexible way to achieve the communicative intention. In the oral English teaching, teachers should pay much attention to the importance of discourse markers and list their pragmatic function into the teaching program so as to realize the effective communication.
