| Abstract: | This paper surveys the method for modal order reduction and modal control which is often used for model reduction. It shows that the concepts of dominant mode and dominant state are very important for obtaining a good order reduction model. Various algorithms of modal order reduction are discussed and the stability of the modal control is analysed. |
