Abstract:The strawberry flower,as a cyme,is bisexual.The sequence of the flower bud differentiation is as follows,calyculus,calyx,corolla,stemen and gynaecium.The calyculus,calyx and corolla develope respectively in a similar way:at first,each of them forms five primordia,the upper parts of theprimordia grow into lobes and the lower parts combine and develope intofloral tubes.The numerous primordia of stemen,arrange in two rings andalternate with petals.The development of the external ring begins earlierthan that of the internal ring,filaments being adnate.The primordia ofgynaecium,numerous too,are separated and spirally arranged on theprotruding receptacle.At the early stage of development,the carpel doesn'tclose.The flower possessesa marginal placenta and a superior ovary.
