| Abstract: | This paper analyses the concept of waveform coefficient in both the theory of electrical machine design and the double-reaction theory in salient pole synchronous electrical machines.It's pointed out that introducing the concept of waveform coefficient when finding magnetic flux by emf in the theory of electrical machine design is not reasonable while the definition of the waveform coefficient in the double-reaction theory is reasonable. |
