After analyzing the status of industry in the economy of Lanzhou city and discussing the relationship between ecological industry and ecological city, the paper pointed out that the key to construct ecological Lanzhou city was to develop the urban economy, especially industry, of Lanzhou city. Based on the facts that industrial pollution has become the main source of contamination in Lanzhou city, and that the special physiognomy and climate in Lanzhou set limits to absorbing, diffusing and decontaminating industrial pollution contamination, the paper put forward measures to promote the construction of ecological Lanzhou city through establishing eco-industry system and discussed the principle, aim, approach and the current focus of work in establishing ecological industry system.
