May 17-19, 2004, the First China-US Symposium on Nanoscale Science and Technology, co-sponsored by NS-FC, CAS and NSF, co-chaired by CAS Vice President Bai Chunli and US NNI Director Mike Roco, was held in Bei-jing. Over seventy participants from China and United States exchanged the frontier achievements and development and discussed the cooperation between China and US in the area of Nacoscale science and technology.
