| 摘 要： | 作者在此文提出了一种新的静止图像压缩算法，是一种基于小波分解的矢量化压缩算法。该算法综合了多种编码方法的优点，经过计算机模拟实验，其结果表明：在高压缩比的情况下，新算法仍能获得满意的图像重建质量，优于目前已有的许多算法，具有良好的应用前景。

| Abstract: | In this paper, a new algorithm for image compression is proposed,in which there are severalkinds of compresion methods. Computer simulation results show that a very good visualquality of the coded image of at about 0. 22/pixel is obtained, so this algorithm is consideredbetter than most of the existing compression algorithms. |
