20世纪初,荣赫鹏侵藏英军对他们此前无法进入的拉萨等地的气象、气候、沿途高程、河湖水系等多方面作了全面的探察,是近代西人探察西藏史上一次非常有影响的活动.在前人研究的基础上,文章根据当时大量的游记、考察报告、研究论文等文献资料,对此次探察活动作了进一步的探讨.
