14-18世纪前期,尼德兰的工商业经济发展先后经历了以布鲁日为中心的佛兰德城市工商业的迅速发展、以商业为主的安特卫普城市经济的崛起和荷兰工商业经济的繁荣三个阶段。自18世纪起,由于外来竞争和本身经济结构的缺陷,尼德兰工商业逐渐走向衰微。

From the 14th to the early 18th century,the industrial and commercial economy of Netherland under-went three phases successively as: centered on Bruges,Flanders' industrial and commercial economy developed quickly;mainly based on commerce,Antwerp's city economy sprang up;the flourish of Holland's industrial and commercial economy.From the 18th century,the industrial and commercial economy of Netherland declined gradually for the exotic competition and the defect of her own economic structure.
