论高职院校英语的素质教育

素质教育是高职院校英语教学的目标。高职院校英语素质教育应该包括思想道德素质教育、语言文化素质教育、专业英语素质教育、非智力因素以及自学能力的培养等五个方面。为确保高职院校英语素质教育的实施，教师要转变教学观念，更新教学思想，实行分层教学，重视学生非智力因素及自学能力的培养，改革课堂教学，充分发挥学生的主体作用，提高自身素质，开展课外活动，增加学生实践机会，培养其社会活动能力。

On the English Quality Education of Vocational Colleges and Universities

Quality teaching is the target of English teaching in vocational colleges and universities. The English quality education of colleges and universities should includes the education of ideological and moral quality, language and cultural quality, speciality English quality,and the training of non-intelligent elements and the ability to study independently. In order to ensure the English quality education of vocational colleges and universities, teachers must transfer and renew their teaching ideas, practise the gradation teaching, attach importance to the training of students' non-intelligent elements and their ability to study independently, reform classroom teaching,give full play to students' own positive role in study. Besides, they must increase their own qualities, encourage extracurricular activities, give more chances to the students to practice, and train the students' ability in social activities.
