麦冬为临床常用的传统中药,具有较高的药用和保健价值。对麦冬所含的甾体皂苷和高异黄酮这两大类化学成分及其药理作用进行了综述,为麦冬的进一步开发利用提供一定的参考。

苔藓植物是一类重要的环境指示植物,在环境监测中发挥着非常重要的作用。自从苔藓档物富集重金属的富集特性被发现以来,国内外的相关研究陆续展开。从苔藓植物的重金属富集作用、生理生化机制等方面评述了苔藓植物重金属富集方面的研究进展。     

A taxonomic review of avian piroplasms of the genus Babesia Starcovici, 1893 (Apicomplexa: Piroplasmorida: Babesiidae)

The validity of avian species of Babesia is reviewed and 13 species recognized. Slides from records of Babesia in the literature have been re-examined and their status determined. Erroneous published records have been addressed. Previously regarded piroplasms of the genera Babesiosoma and Haemohormidium are reappraised and their relationship to Babesia and the Aegyptianella-Rickettsia group of organisms discussed. Host-specificity, pathogenicity and vectors are also discussed.     

A review of the genus Talavera Peckham and Peckham, 1909 (Araneae,Salticidae)

The species of the Holarctic jumping spider genus Talavera are reviewed. Five new species are described: Talavera ikedai sp. n. (¦ §) from Japan and Korea; T. krocha sp. n. (¦ §) from France, Ukraine and Kyrghyzstan; T. parvistyla sp. n. (¦ §) from central and northern Europe; T. sharlaa sp. n. (§) from Tuva; and T. tuvensis sp. n. (¦) from Tuva. A lectotype is designated for Euophrys monticola Kulczy ` ski, 1884. A key to the 14 species now encompassed in this genus, and distributional maps, are provided for all of them. Arguments are given for placing the names Euophrys poecilopus Thorell, 1873 and Attus westringi Simon, 1868 as nomina dubia. Talavera aperta Miller, 1971 is removed from synonymy with both Talavera monticola (Kulczy ` ski, 1884) and Talavera thorelli (Kulczy ` ski, 1891).

A Critical Review of Motivation in Second Language Acquisition Research

As one of the major factors affecting second language learners＇ success to their acquisition achievement, motivation has been examined in a wide variety of research papers. It is thus instructive to conduct a critical review of both theoretical and empirical developments in SLA research from over the last few decades. This approach will provide a broad, and integrated perspective onto the current understanding of the complex topic of motivation. Such an undertaking is valuable for teachers, and researchers alike, in developing useful teaching methods, and finding future avenues of SLA motivation research respectively.The following paper provides an overview of recent theoretical and empirical findings, examines some of the problems and contradictions found in current SLA research, and gives an initial departure point for future directions of research in the area of motivation. The paper concludes with a discussion of some of the implications for teachers, and possible classroom strategies that are drawn from the current body of motivation research.
