   Language is a means of verbal communication. People use language to communicate with each other. In the society, no two speakers are exactly alike in the way of speaking. Some differences are due to age, gender, statue and personality. Above all, gender is one of the obvious reasons. The writer of this paper tries to describe the features of women's language from these perspectives: pronunciation, intonation, diction, subjects, grammar and discourse. From the discussion of the features of women's language, more attention should be paid to language use in social context. What's more, the linguistic phenomena in a speaking community can be understood more thoroughly.

4.  The Effect of English-Learning on Invitation Culture

   This paper investigates the effect of English-learning of our invitation culture. There were 30 subjects who took a questionnaire. And these 30 were separated into two kinds -- the ones who have learnt English for years and the ones who haven't learnt English at all. By the different answers of these two kinds of people, we can clearly see the changes caused by English learuing. And the paper analyzes the data of the finished questionnaires from the aspects of social distribution, social function, preannouncement, invitation strategies, and cultural orientation. I hope my paper can be of some help to communications among people from different cultures.

9.  Strategies of More and Less Successful Bai High School EFL Learners

   This study airm to explore the choice of language learning strategies between more and lesssuccessful Bai high school EFL learners for whom English is learned as a third language. Sixteen Bai EFLlearners were involved in the current study. A background questionnaire and the Oxford‘ s SILL Question-naire were administered to the participants, and semi - structured interviews were conducted. The reported data indicate that successful learners employed more strategies than less successful ones did andnitive strategies best predicted learning success. Individual strategies used by both successful and lesssuccessful Bai EFL learners were outlined and discussed. The paper concludes with implications of the studyand recommendations for the extension of research in this area.    

10.  Unitary Noise and the Mermin-GHZ Game

   Communication complexity is an area of classical computer science which studies how much communication is necessary to solve various distributed computational problems.Quantum information processing can be used to reduce the amount of communication required to carry out some distributed problems.We speak of pseudo-telepathy when it is able to completely eliminate the need for communication.Since it is generally very hard to perfectly implement a quantum winning strategy for a pseudo-telepathy game,quantum players are almost certain to make errors even though they use a winning strategy.After introducing a model for pseudotelepathy games,we investigate the impact of erroneously performed unitary transformations on the quantum winning strategy for the Mermin-GHZ game.The question of how strong the unitary noise can be so that quantum players would still be better than classical ones is also dealt with.

   This study explores the application of Systemic Functional Grammar (SFG) to the analysis of English Business Letters (EBL). With China’s opening up to the outside, especially its entrance into WTO, international business is becoming more and more popular. Most of the transactions in international business are discussed in detail through airmail letters, telegrams, telexes, faxes or E- mails.As a world language, English is used widely in the negotiation of international businesses. Writing a piece of effective English Business Letter is of great importance. As a medium between the business partners, EBL affects the interaction and negotiation between them. This article is intended to seek the linguistic characteristics of business letters and prove that the theories of SFG can be used to analyze EBL discourse and they are actually effective.
