以苏贝淖湖滨剖面沉积物为例,研究了沉积物磁化率与粒度的变化特征;并分析了各粒级组份与磁化率大小变化的相关关系。探讨沉积物磁性矿物的可能来源及富集状态,揭示它们在干旱区湖泊沉积物中所反映的古环境信息。结果显示:1沉积物磁化率和粒度自下而上分别经历了由低到高、由细到粗的总体变化趋势,代表了一种由湖滨浅湖相到风成沉积相过渡的沉积环境;沉积物整体粒径较粗,主要为砂(63μm)和粉砂[(4~63)μm],二者的平均含量之和达到99.04%,剖面风成沉积物与现代风成沙的粒度曲线变化具有很好的一致性;2磁化率与砂粒级的颗粒含量呈正相关,而与粉砂和黏土无明显相关关系或呈负相关,说明磁性矿物主要赋存在砂粒级颗粒中,主要原因是沉积物中的磁性矿物以外源为主;3沉积物高磁化率值对应较粗的沉积物颗粒,指示湖区风沙活动较强,气候干旱;低磁化率值对应较细的沉积物颗粒,反映湖区环境相对较湿润。  相似文献

通过对巢湖湖心长1.5m的CH-1孔沉积物磁性参数和粒度组成进行测量,探讨了巢湖的沉积环境变迁.结果表明:CH-1孔沉积物以中粉砂和细粉砂为主,其次为黏土.该孔中黏土粒级对磁性矿物贡献最大.自底部向上,该孔分为4段:第1段,沉积物向上粒度变细,亚铁磁性矿物含量减少,亚铁磁性矿物颗粒变细;第2段,沉积物向上粒度变粗,亚铁磁性矿物含量减少,磁性矿物颗粒变细;第3段,沉积物向上粒度变细,亚铁磁性矿物含量增多,磁性矿物颗粒变粗;第4段,沉积物向上粒度变粗,亚铁磁性矿物含量增多,磁性矿物颗粒变粗.上述结果显示:巢湖湖面在整个沉积历史时期呈现上升和下降的交替变化,反映了气候变化对巢湖沉积的影响.  相似文献

通过多参数磁性测量分析,探讨长江中下游干、支流河流沉积物的磁性特征,为研究长江水沙环境积累基础资料.研究结果表明,长江中下游干、支流河流沉积物中,磁性矿物类别均以磁铁矿为主,晶粒均以假单畴-多畴为主.与干流相比,支流沉积物中不完整反铁磁性物质含量较多,晶粒较细,Χ值仅是干流的1/10.随着支流泥沙的汇入,入江口以下江段沉积物的磁性特征相应发生变化.支流泥沙物源贡献的研究是探讨长江中下游干流沉积物环境特征的主要因子.  相似文献

选择了关注较少,第四纪红土分布最西界——四川成都平原中的一个第四纪红土剖面作为研究对象,通过系统的环境磁学分析,结合色度和常量地球化学元素指标,探讨磁学参数的环境指示意义,探寻适用的气候代用指标.结果表明:(1)成都地区第四纪红土剖面经历了细粒亚铁磁性矿物转化分解、剖面整体呈低磁性、磁性矿物主要为反铁磁性矿物、磁性颗粒以假单畴(PSD)和多畴(MD)的粗颗粒为主.(2)剖面弱网纹层成土强度较弱、亚铁磁性矿物含量较高、磁性较强、磁性矿物粒径较细;典型网纹层成土强度较高、磁性较弱、磁性颗粒较粗.(3)剖面土壤发育序列的CIA、磁学特征的变化指示了当地气候趋于冷干,且不及同时期的长江中下游地区暖湿.(4)反映剖面反铁磁性矿物的赤铁矿、针铁矿信息的色度参数与CIA对应良好,可以作为南方地区古气候变化研究的代用指标.  相似文献

沉积物中保留下来的信息载体可较准确地反映古环境变化,沉积物粒度与磁化率是沉积物中反映沉积环境变化的重要指标.研究了长江下游南通段河漫滩沉积剖面的粒度和磁化率特征,由此识别出长江下游南通段现代洪水事件.粒度分析表明,样品偏态系数为负偏,表明沉积物粒径总体相时较大,反映水流量大,搬运能力强.根据砂、粉砂、粘土百分含量变化,可将剖面分6层,呈粗-细-粗-细-粗-细变化.这与磁化率特征是一致的,磁化率呈高-低-高-低-高-低变化.将磁化率、中值粒径和近百年降水量变化对比分析发现,磁化率与沉积物中值粒径呈负相关关系.而沉积物粒度与降水量呈正相关关系.推断第1、3、5层的沉积特征指示该阶段水量较大(洪水期),第2、4、6层沉积特征指示水量较小,约130 a以来长江下游南通段至少发生3次较大的洪水,其中第5沉积层对应的洪水规模可能最大.  相似文献

在粒级分离的基础上,对长江河口及邻近陆架22个表层沉积物进行了磁学表征,探讨了磁性特征对物源、输运、沉积动力等环境信息的指示意义.研究结果表明,长江入海泥沙、残留砂及废黄河物质是长江口外水下三角洲及邻近陆架沉积物磁性特征的主要物源影响因素,但3者的空间分布不同.沉积物磁化率(c)、饱和等温剩磁(SIRM)、硬剩磁(HIRM)及非磁滞剩磁磁化率(c ARM)的空间变化指示了长江入海泥沙出口门后向南及东南方向输运. SIRM与c及退磁参数(S–100)与SIRM关系图表明,大于63μm粒级沉积物来自残留砂与现代长江粗颗粒,其分布大致以30 m等深线为界;小于16μm粒级沉积物受长江和废黄河物质的影响,口内为长江源,口外北部贴岸以废黄河源为主,口外其他区域则表现为以长江物质占主导的混合源.沉积物粒度和磁学特征的空间变化反映了动力的粒度和密度分选作用,并体现在沉积环境分区磁性特征差异及分粒级组分对全样SIRM贡献的空间变化上.粒级分离减小了粒度效应对全样磁性特征的干扰,提高了沉积物物源判别的准确性,在反映三角洲地貌变化及物源定量识别上具有重要意义.  相似文献

对浙江省金华市武义江边滩柱样沉积物进行了系统的环境磁学、地球化学、粒度和总有机碳分析,探讨河流沉积物磁性特征的影响因素及其环境意义.结果表明:1)武义江沉积物磁性特征为磁铁矿主导,沉积动力分选和沉积后的次生变化对磁性特征的垂向变化产生影响;2)武义江沉积物中各类重金属元素含量高于背景值水平,存在不同程度的人为因素的污染和富集;3)武义江沉积物磁性参数与重金属含量存在一定正相关关系,反映了磁性矿物与重金属具有相同的来源,或者磁性矿物对重金属的吸附作用,表明河流沉积物磁性特征可定性地指示重金属污染.  相似文献

泥炭沉积物蕴藏着丰富的区域环境演变信息,本文通过分析西藏羊八井七弄沟泥炭剖面特征元素比值(Fe/Mn,Ba/Sr,K_2O/Na_2O)变化特征,结合剖面腐殖化度和汞含量记录的研究结果,发现西藏羊八井泥炭沉积物中特征元素比值可以指示沉积环境的干湿变化.依据元素地球化学记录,西藏羊八井地区的沉积环境划分为9.1~7.6 cal ka BP温度波动上升阶段,沉积环境较湿润;7.6~4.5 cal ka BP温度剧烈波动阶段,沉积环境逐渐干旱;4.5~3.5 cal ka BP温度波动下降阶段,沉积环境变得暖湿.其中共记录4次沉积环境变干,时间分别为5.8、6.1、8.2以及8.8~8.5 cal ka BP左右,与局部乃至全球的气候变化记录存在良好的对应关系.  相似文献

通过对太原盆地QK1钻孔60 ka.B.P.以来的沉积物进行粒度、磁化率分析,探讨了太原盆地60 ka.B.P.以来的气候环境演化过程。太原盆地60 ka.B.P.以来主要经历了以下演化阶段:59.6~40 ka.B.P.属滨湖相沉积;40~31.5 ka.B.P.属以河流相漫滩沉积;31.5~14.58 ka.B.P.属河流相边滩沉积;14.58~12.5 ka.B.P.河流相漫滩沉积;12.5~9 ka.B.P.河漫湖泊沉积;9 ka.B.P.至今属河流相边滩沉积。60 ka.B.P.以来太原盆地的气候由温暖偏湿转为温暖湿润,在末次冰期表现为寒冷干燥,进入全新世大暖期以后,气候具有全球性特征的同时也兼具区域性特点。各指标分析表明太原盆地的气候环境演化主要受全球性气候变化及区域气候的影响,由于盆地沉降中心与边缘沉积速率的差异,在一定程度上受到地区构造活动的影响。  相似文献

以长江口外、长340 cm的CX21柱样为对象,在磁性特征、地球化学和粒度分析的基础上,结合前期对Y7柱样的研究,探讨粒度、早期成岩作用和物源变化对沉积物磁性特征的影响.研究结果表明,该柱样磁性特征和粒度垂向变化显著.磁性参数χ、SIRM、χfd和χfd%与 2~4 μm、4~8 μm粒级含量呈相对较弱的正相关, 而χARM、χARM/SIRM和χARM/χ与16 μm以下的各细颗粒组分有较强的正相关,表明CX21柱样沉积物磁性特征受到粒度变化的影响.利用BCR方法进行的铁的形态分析结果表明,CX21柱样170 cm深度以下具有较强的还原环境,磁性矿物受到较强的早期成岩作用影响.氧化还原不敏感元素Ti的垂向变化指示了物源变化,Ti向表层的增加与χ和SIRM向表层的增强具有同步性,说明物源变化也是CX21沉积物磁性特征影响的重要因素.尽管粒度组成和沉积速率不同,CX21与Y7柱样的磁性特征在垂向上具有相似性,表明磁性特征可作为长江口外沉积物地层对比的工具之一.  相似文献

A multiparameter investigation of surface sediments from the Bei'anhe section (Beijing) has been conducted using environmental magnetic approaches. The studied sedimentary sequence consists of pluvial and lacustrine silts and clay of the Holocene age. Magnetite, hematite and pyrrhotite were identiffed as the dominant magnetic minerals. The mineral magnetic characteristics are considered to reflect the Holocene paleoenvironmental processes of the studied area, which are different from the mineral magnetic properties of typical polluted sections reported in the Beijing area. The low-field magnetic susceptibility and saturated isothermal remanence magnetization of the section decrease gradually with increasing depth. This indicates that the concentration of magnetic minerals in the strata decreases down the section. Values of interparametric ratios, such as ARM/SIRM, XARM/Xand SIRM/X, gradually increase with increasing depth, which indicates a down-section decreasing trend in the magnetic grain size of the sediments. Pyrrhotite occurs below the depth of 22 cm, suggesting the existence of redox interface. The magnetic variations of the Bei'anhe surface sediments might be controlled by two geological processes: reductive diagenesis and pedogenesis. Our findings may have provided a reference point for magnetic investigation of polluted surface sediments in the Beijing area.  相似文献

A set of environmental magnetic parameters(i.e. magnetic susceptibility, xARM, IRMs, hysteresis loops and thermomagnetic curves) has been applied to two soil sections from SE Iceland. Results demonstrate that the main magnetic minerals in the tephras are ferrimagnetic minerals (e.g.magnetite) and canted antiferromagnetic minerals (e.g.haematite), with abundant paramagnetic material also present. Cross plots of Mrs/Ms vs. (B0)cr/(B0)c and xfd% vs.xARM/SIRM indicate that the main magnetic grain sizes in tephras are pseudo single domain (PSD) and multidomain(MD). Initial correlation of tephra layers was achieved, usingall the measured magnetic parameters, by use of the multi-variate statistical measures of Similarity Coefficient (SC) andEuclidean Distance (ED). This demonstrates that magnetictechniques can potentially assist in the identification andcorrelation of distal tephra.  相似文献

This is a report of multi-parameter mineral magnetic results of the Sanmenxia loess-pa-leosol couplets in the SE extremity of the Chinese Loess Plateau (CLP) over the interval of L1- L13 spanning the last 1 Ma. These results show that mass-specific magnetic susceptibility (X), XARM and SIRM and their ratios exhibit parallel stratigraphic variations. Since superparamagnetic (SP) particles have significant contribution to X but no contribution to remanence, e.g., ARM and SIRM, the strong linear correlations between X and remanence (e.g., ARM and SIRM) suggest that the pedogenesis-produced magnetic grains are predominantly in small single domain range. Consequently, the significant contribution of SP particles to the bulk X as supposed in previous studies has been obviously overestimated. XARM/X data in Sanmenxia and median grain size records of typical loess sections from the hinterland of the CLP display a strong resemblance, implying that XARM/X may be regarded as a reliable indicator for monitoring the variations of ferrimagnetic grain sizes. The results of S-ratio and HIRM ((SIRM IRM-0.3T)/2) measurements indicate that there is significant enhancement of both soft magnetite/maghemite and hard hematite/goethite in paleosols associated with pedogenesis.  相似文献

Magnetic minerals in sediments of the continental shelf are sensitive to environmental changes. Therefore, to determine the exact phases of magnetic minerals is the prerequisite to investigate the paleoenvironmental significances. In this study, a comprehensive rock magnetic investigation, coupled with mineralogical studies, was carried out on the long core NHH01 (with a length of 125.64 m) from the central continental shelf of the South Yellow Sea. Single-domain greigite was identified as the dominant magnetic carrier in sediments between 44.90 and 51.80 m, and terrigenous magnetite is the major magnetic phase in the adjacent layers. The existence of greigite unambiguously indicates an anoxic environment. We tentatively interpreted that such an environment could be formed by the fast sea level changes, longexisting of the cold eddies during warm stages, or in a lake which might be related to locally tectonic uplifting. Therefore, the occurrence of the thicklayer greigite could supply a new perspective to paleoenvironmental or even tectonic studies.  相似文献

High-resolution environmental records from the Tibetan Plateau are essential to understand past global climatic and environmental changes. Magnetic minerals in lake sediments are important proxies to reconstruct environmental and climatic changes. Nam Co (lake) is a typical great lake in the transitional region of southwest monsoon in the Tibetan Plateau. Previous studies have extensively focused on geochemistry, microfossils, sedimentology and biochemistry analysis of Nam Co, which provides sound interpretation of paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental changes. However, up to now, no systematic environmental magnetic studies have been carried out. Therefore, high-resolution and systematic magnetic studies combined with geochemical parameters were carried on lake sediments of core NC 08/01 from Nam Co for the Holocene period (11.3 cal ka BP) in order to explore how magnetic properties of the sediments respond to climatic changes. Based on variations of magnetic proxies, the sequence can be separated into 3 units. Unit 1 (236-199 cm, 11.3-7.8 cal ka BP) contains dominantly coarse-grained magnetite with homogeneous grain size. A positive correlation between magnetite and Ti strongly suggests that these coarse-grained detrital magnetites reflect detrital input signals due to insignificant effects of postdepositional dissolution processes on these coarse-grained magnetite particles. For Unit 2 (198-102 cm, 7.8-2.1 cal ka BP), magnetic grain size is finer and the corresponding concentration of magnetite is also reduced. This is mainly due to significant dissolution of these fine-grained detrital magnetite particles, which were transported under reduced water flow conditions during this period. For Unit 3 (101-0 cm, 2.1-0 cal ka BP), the bulk magnetic properties are dominated by a mixture of single domain biogenic magnetite and detrital magnetite. The concentration of magnetic minerals is not correlated with the Ti content. In conclusion, the preservation of magnetic minerals in the lake sediment and thus the corresponding magnetic properties are related to the initial grain size. Combination of magnetic properties (including variation of grain size and concentration) and other proxies of detrital inputs (e.g. Ti) can be used to infer the variation of redox conditions in Nam Co. These results provide a viable framework for reconstructing the paleoenvironmental changes of this lake.  相似文献

To understand the origin and its climatic implications of the Huguang Maar sediments, we conducted laser grain size analysis and rock mangtic measurement for the recent deposits from the Huguang Maar and for the volcanic rocks of the caldera for comparison. The grain size distributions are dominated by clayey silts for both the bulk sediments and magnetic separates. Acquisition of isothermal remanent magnetization (IRM) and thermal demagnetization of IRM suggest (titano) magnetite as the dominating magnetic mineral in the sediments; high coercivity minerals are not detected. Therefore, the ratio of the susceptibility of anhysteretic remanent magnetization (k ARM) to the weak field magnetic susceptibility (k), k ARM/k can be used to estimate the grain size of magnetite. The sediments and volcanic rocks yield values of 13.7 and 11.8 for the k ARM/k, respectively, corresponding to grain size values of ~0.03 µm and ~0.05 µm. The magnetic granulometry of lake sediments is distinctive from one of the Chinese loess, in which published data suggest a value of 6.0 for k ARM/k, and grain size of ~0.1 µm, but is akin to the nearby volcanic rocks. Although a Loess Plateau source of the lake sediments cannot be fully ruled out, the catchment is most probably the main source. We explain the slightly finer magnetite grain size in sediments than in the volcanic rocks as being disintegrated of particles during erosion and transportation. We conclude that there is no evidence for aeolian input of the Loess Plateau dusts into the Huguang Maar, and the relationship between magnetic parameters of the lake sediments and winter monsoon intensity is probably more complicated than previously thought.  相似文献

A continuous 7.44 m lake core was successfully drilled at Gun Nuur Lake, northern Mongolia, and analyses on environment magnetic parameters, organic matter content and organic δ^13C were conducted in an attempt to retrieve the Holocene chronosequence of climatic changes based on 6 AMS ^14C dates. We found that the Holocene climate in northern Mongolia has been alternating between cold (or cool)/wet conditions and warm/arid conditions, and also punctuated with a series of abrupt climate shifts. The abrupt climate shifts occurred around 1750, 2800, 4000, 5200, 7200, and 9200 aBP (^14C age), being chronologically correlative to those abrupt climatic events recorded in the high-latitude North Atlantic Ocean. The correlation indicates that the climatic changes in northern Mongolia were linked with those in the North Atlantic Ocean probably via the North Atlantic Oscillation-affected westerly winds. The strength and position of westerly winds might have modulated the Siberian-Mongolian high pressure system (winter monsoon), directly influencing the climate in China.  相似文献
