As a homodimeric glycoprotein, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)is a highly specific mitogen of vascular endothelial cells. It can induce proliferation and migration, and inhibit apoptosis of endothelial cell.VEGF is involved in many processes in the female reproductive system, such as ovulation, periodical changes of endometrium, embryo implantation and development,VEGF plays important roles in some reproductive diseases, including preeclampsia and fetal hypoevolutism in uterus.Based on our studies on angiogenesis and its relevant factors in the female reproductive system these years, the functions of VEGF in female reproductive system are reviewed, and the research prospect and application of VEGF are also discussed.  相似文献

The detective story is distinguished from other forms of fiction by the fact that it is a puzzle. The Adventures of Caleb Williams (1794),written by English philosopher William Godwin, deserves an honorable place among the detective story's predecessors. Some critics consider it a gothic novel, others consider it a precursor to the English detective novel, and still others refer to it as the first psychological novel. It's very indispensable to make further analysis.  相似文献

The conventional kinesin and kinesin-related proteins (KRPs) constitute a large family of microtubule-based molecular motors. Members of this family bind to micro-tubules in an ATP-dependent manner. They all have microtubule-activated ATPaes activities, and play essential roles in the transport of various vesicles and organelles in eukaryotic cells[1―3]. The first plant kinesin-like protein was detected in tobacco pollen tube with an antibody against animal kinesin[4]. Recently, a number …  相似文献

"Soldier's Home," Hemingway employs a third person narrator which narrates the short story in a seemingly detached and indifferent narrative voice. However, further exploration of the narrator and narrative voice in the story demonstrates that, instead of being thoroughly detached, the narrator constantly penetrates into the protagonist's consciousness, merges with character's voice, and even betrays Hemingway's sympathies with his protagonist. This paper attempts to explore narrator and narrative voice used in this story which contribute a lot to the alienation theme of the story as well as the successful depiction and characterization of a young soldier who finds himself desperate, disillusioned and alienated after returning home from the First World.War.  相似文献

MMPs and their natural tissue inhibitors TIMPs are crucial in coordinated breakdown and remodeling of the extracellular matrix (ECM) in physiological and pathological situations. Placentation is a key event of pregnancy in which MMPs/TIMPs system plays important roles in regulating the extravillus cytotrophoblast (EVTs) invasion. This paper focuses on expression patterns and regulatory mechanisms of MMPs/TIMPs family members during the process of placentation. Their implications in curing pregnancy-related diseases are also discussed.  相似文献

Protein kinase catalyzes the transfer of the γ-phosphoryl group from ATP to the hydroxyl groups o fprotein side chains, which plays critical roles in signal transduction pathways by transmitting extracellular signals across the plasma membrane and nuclear membrane to the destination sites in the cytoplasm and the nucleus. Protein kinase C (PKC) is a superfamily of phospholipid-dependent Ser/Thr kinase. There are at least 12 isozymes in PKC family. They are distributed in different tissues and play different roles in physiological processes. On account of their concern with a variety of pathophysiologic states, such as cancer, inflammatory conditions, autoimmune disorder, and cardiac diseases, the inhibitors, which can inhibit the activity of PKC and the interaction of cytokine with receptor, and interfere signal transduction pathway, may be candidates of therapeutic drugs. Therefore, intense efforts have been made to develop specific protein kinase inhibitors as biological tools and therapeutic agents. This article reviews the recent development of some of PKC inhibitors based on their interaction with different conserved domains and different inhibition mechanisms.  相似文献
