A study on the immunological properties of human uterine and placental contractile protein by immuneadherence

Zusammenfassung Mit der Methode der Immunadhärenz konnte ein halbquantitativer Nachweis erbracht werden, dass Antiserum gegen kontraktiles Protein aus menschlichem Uterus mit dem homologen Antigen und kontraktilem Protein aus Placenta, nicht aber mit Aktomyosin aus quergestreifter Muskulatur reagiert.

Removal of acetylcholine during perfusion of liquor-spaces and its influence on outflow volume

Zusammenfassung Bei Perfusion der Liquorräume im Katzengehirn verschwindet Acetylcholin zu 90% aus dem Subarachnoidalraum, zu 60% aus den Ventrikeln. Eine fortlaufende Abnahme wurde im spinalen Subarachnoidalraum beobachtet. Acetylcholin erweiterte den Ast der Choroidarterie und vergrösserte stark das Abflussvolumen aus Ventrikeln und dem spinalen Subarachnoidalraum.

Metabolism of diphenylamine in the rat and rabbit

Zusammenfassung Nach oraler Verabreichung von Diphenylamin wurde das Kaliumsalz des 4-Oxydiphenylaminsulfatesters aus dem Harn des Kaninchens isoliert. Die enzymatische Hydrolyse des Kaninchenharns ergab kleine Mengen von 2-Oxydiphenylamin, die mit Hilfe von Dünnschicht-Chromatographie identifiziert wurden. Bei der Ratte gelang nach intraperitonealer Verabreichung von Diphenylamin bei enzymatischer und saurer Hydrolyse des Harns der chromatographische Nachweis des 4-Oxydiphenylamins als Hauptprodukt der Umwandlung.

Inhibition of arylpyruvate oxidase by chelating agents

Zusammenfassung Die Hemmung der Phenylpyruvat- undp-Hydroxyphenylpyruvat-Oxydasen durch Chelat-Wirkstoffe wurde offenbar durch die Bildung eines Enzym-Wirkstoff-Komplexes verursacht, der bei Behandlung mit Kationen oder mit Sephadex trennbar ist. Die Reinigung des Enzyms führt zur Kupferanreicherung des Präparates, welches eine scheinbar funktionelle Einheit mit dem Enzym bildet.

Zusammenfassung Die erste Synthese eines Steroid-Analogen, in welchem Ring A zu einem Pyrimidin umgewandelt wurde, wird beschrieben. Die wichtigste Zwischenstufe 4b wurde durch Abbau von 19-nor-Testosteron gewonnen. Kondensation von 4b mit Thioharnstoff führte zu 17-Acetoxy-2,4-diazaestr-4-en-1-on-3-thion (5).

Gamma aminobutyric acid induced changes in the spontaneous firing rates of insect neurons

Zusammenfassung -Aminobuttersäure (GABA) vermindert die Impulsfrequenz der spontan-aktiven Nervenzellen beim Insekt. Wirksame Konzentrationen betragen 0,1–25 · 10^–4 M. Ein unerwartetes Ergebnis war die Beobachtung, dass nach Applikation von GABA eine Erhöhung der Impulsfrequenz vor der Verminderung stattfindet.

The metabolism of 3-hydroxytyramine-1-C14 in brain tissue homogenates

Zusammenfassung Homogenate aus Gehirn wurden mit 3-Hydroxytyramine-1-C¹⁴ inkubiert. Als Stoffwechselprodukt wurde aus der sauren Fraktion radioaktive 3,4-Dioxyphenylessigsäure isoliert. Aus der basischen Fraktion wurden drei radioaktive Zonen papierchromatographisch isoliert. Die erste Zone konnte noch nicht identifiziert werden. Die zweite wurde als 3-Hydroxytyramin und die dritte als 3-Methoxytyramin erkannt. Die mögliche Rolle der Stoffwechselprodukte von 3-Hydroxytyramin beim Parkinson-Syndrom wird diskutiert.

The release of dopamine from the putamen

Zusammenfassung Der Ruheertrag des Dopamins aus dem erregten Katzenputamen wurde bei genügender Niederfrequenzreizung der Substantia nigra mehr als verdoppelt. Mit dieser Beobachtung wird der histochemische Nachweis des nigro-neostriatalen dopaminergischen Weges gestützt.
