We show that the second magnetization peak(SMP),i.e.,an increase in the magnetization hysteresis loop width in type-11 superconductors,vanishes for samples smaller than a critical size,We argue that the SMP is not related to the critical current enhancement but can be well explainde within a frameword of the thermomagenetic flux-jump in stability theory,where flux jumps reduce the absolute irreversible magnetization relative to the isothermal critical state value at low enough magnetic fields.The recovering of the isothermal critical sate with increasing field leads to the SMP.The low-field SMP takes place in both low-T.conventional and high*t.unconventional superconductors.Our results show that the rsstoration of the isothermal critical state is rsponsible for the SMP occurrence in both cases.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the application of branch mode method in the critical speed ana-lysis of compound rotating systems, in which the distributed inertia including gyroscopic effectand distributed elastic support are taken into account. Finally, the method introduced in this paper is used to calculate the critical speeds of anew-type spindle on the spinning frame. The first three critical Speeds are calculated and com-pared with the values obtained from the experimental approach and other theoretical methods.The results show that they are in good agreement with each other.  相似文献

Abstract The critical arc is an arc which is the critical set for some differentiable function not constant along the arc. In literatureon the topic, the differentiable functions are always increasing along the arc, but in this paper we provide a critical arc such that the corre-sponding differentiable function could not be increasing along the arc. The gas-liquid phase coexistence in a two-dimensional Lennard-Jones system is investigated using Maxwell construction method together with molecular dynamics simulations.The results of phase coexistence in different truncations of the potential are compared with data obtained from the literature,and the corresponding critical properties calculated.The crossover from Ising-like to mean field behavior is observed and confirmed as the temperature approaches the critical point from below.Performing simulations on systems with different sizes,we find that a finite size effect is more significant than those shown in most of the previous results,and a lower critical temperature is obtained when the full extent of this finite size effect is considered.  相似文献

Dissolved hydrogen is harmful to mechanical properties of refined hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloys. In the present work, by using a stepped-form mold and the hydrogen-detecting instrument HYSCAN Ⅱ, the relationship between the initial hydrogen content in the melt and the refinement effect on the casting of hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloy was investigated. The experimental results show that the cooling rate, the hydrogen content and the grain refinement effect are three interactive factors. When the hydrogen content is above 0.20 mL/100 g and the cooling rate is lower than that in 50 mm-thick step, hydrogen dissolved in the alloy melt influences the grain refinement effect. With increasing the cooling rate, the critical hydrogen content increases too. It is expected that much hydrogen in the melt make the net interfacial energy larger than or equal to zero, resulting in the shielding of the particles AlP during solidification and that the critical gas content is closely related to the critical radius of embryo bubbles.  相似文献

This paper employs computer colour generation,and match prediction systems and aims tofind the most critical change of dye concentration corresponding to changes of Hue,or Chroma,orLightness of 1 unit just visible colour difference,thus investigating the required accuracy level fordyeing dispensing.This leads to the selection of one critical colour-difference dimension of threefrom CMC (1:c) measurement.The results reveal that the concentration change in dye dispensing ismost critical for change of Hue in a computer controlled system.The formula describing the rela-tionship Of △E and △H in CMC (2:1) measurement is selected for further investigation.  相似文献

The critical behavior of pseudobinary microemulsion systems{water/sodium di(2-ethylhexyl)sulfo- succinate(AOT)/n-decane}with various droplet sizes was studied by measurements of refractive index. It was found that the critical exponentsβfor all systems approach 0.327 in a region sufficiently close to the critical temperature,which is consistent with 3D-Ising universality class.The critical temperatures linearly decrease as the dispersed droplet sizes increase.The critical amplitude almost linearly in- creases with increasing the dispersed droplet sizes.  相似文献

In January of 2001 the superconductivity of the compound MgB2 with a critical temperature Tc of up to 39 K was discovered. This Tc is the highest in all intermetallic compound and alloy superconductors. MgB2 has a simple structure and its manufacturing capital cost is lower, therefore it could become a practical superconductor in the future. The recent progress is reviewed here which covers the progress in electronic structure, high Tc mechanism, superconducting parameters (Debye temperature, specific heat coefficient of electron, critical fields, coherent length, penetration depth, energy gap, critical current and relaxation rate of flux). The concept of the molecular free path is introduced to derive a criterion distinguishing active molecules from inactive molecules in liquid phase. Based on molecular self-aggregation theory a concept of the critical aggregation concentration (CAC) of active molecules is proposed to describe the physical configuration before the formation of the nuclei in the process of vapor-liquid phase transition. All active molecules exist in the form of the monomer when the concentration of active molecules is lower than CAC, while the active molecules will generate aggregation once the concentration of the active molecules reaches CAC. However, these aggregates with the aggregation number N smaller than 5 can steadily exist in bulk phase. The other excess active molecules can only produce infinite aggregation and form a critical nucleus of vapor-liquid phase transition. Without outer perturbation the state point of CAC corresponds to the critical superheated or supercooled state in the process of vapor-liquid phase transition. With the aggregate property, the interfacial tension between the bulk phase and the tiny new phase is predicted and a correction is made for the classical nucleation rate in a quite good agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

To investigate the formation of internal cracks in GCr15 bearing steels during the soft reduction process in rectangular bloom continuous casting, fully coupled thermomechanical finite element models were developed using the commercial software MSC.MARC, and microstructures and fractographs were also observed. With the finite element models, the contours of temperature, equivalent plastic strain, and equivalent von Mises stress were simulated. It is observed that the fracture surfaces of internal cracks are covered by cleavage or quasi-cleavage facets. The region of internal cracks in the intergranular brittle fracture mode is in the mushy zone between the zero ductility temperature (ZDT) and the zero strength temperature (ZST). The simulated equivalent plastic strain in the crack region is 2.34%-2.45%, which is larger than the critical strain (0.4%-1.5%), and the equivalent von Mises stress is 1.84-5.05 MPa, which is within the range of critical stress (3.9-7.2 MPa), thus resulting in the occurrence of internal cracks. Reducing the soft reduction amount from 3 to 2 mm can lower the stress under the critical value.  相似文献

Recently,our research group proposed the phase separation condenser tube,in which a mesh cylinder was inserted to form the flow structure of‘‘gas near the tube wall and liquid in the tube core’’,significantly enhance the condensation heat transfer.But the bubble leakage towards the core region may worsen the heat transfer enhancement.In order to prevent the bubble leakage,the critical criterion was proposed based on the Young–Laplace equation,considering the inertia force,viscous force and pulsating flow.It was found that the critical criterion depends on the dimensionless parameter G*,the We number and a coefficient C.The numerical model was developed in terms of the volume of fluid method to predict the two-phase laminar flow in the phase separation condenser tube.The results show that the bubble leakage takes place at the bubble tip,which is agreed with the experimental observations.The critical curve distinguishing the non-bubble-breaking and bubble-breaking was obtained by comparing the bubble dynamics at different G*and We.The coefficient C was determined.The critical criterion for the bubble leakage is given as G We0:22We0:99349 G4:7 103 We0:00651t196:39We0:006514cosa DHW,providing the design and operation guidance for the phase separation condenser tube.  相似文献

Droplet coalescence in liquid steel was carefully investigated through observations of the distribution pattern of inclusions in solidified steel samples. The process of droplet coalescence was slow, and the critical Weber number (We) was used to evaluate the coalescence or separation of droplets. The relationship between the collision parameter and the critical We indicated whether slow coalescence or bouncing of droplets occurred. The critical We was 5.5, which means that the droplets gradually coalesce when We ≤ 5.5, whereas they bounce when We > 5.5. For the carbonate wire feeding into liquid steel, a mathematical model implementing a combined computational fluid dynamics (CFD)-discrete element method (DEM) approach was developed to simulate the movement and coalescence of variably sized droplets in a bottom-argon-blowing ladle. In the CFD model, the flow field was solved on the premise that the fluid was a continuous medium. Meanwhile, the droplets were dispersed in the DEM model, and the coalescence criterion of the particles was added to simulate the collision-coalescence process of the particles. The numerical simulation results and observations of inclusion coalescence in steel samples are consistent.  相似文献
