Summary Cannabinoid content of a population ofCannabis sativa L. originating from Mexico and cultivated in France is studied. The statistical analysis of results shows how difficult it is to obtain homogenous and representative samples. This problem is correlated to genetic heterogeneity of seeds.

Zusammenfassung Es wird gezeigt, dass die vonAbu-Shady undSoine isolierten Sesquiterpenlaktone «Ambrosin» und «Damsin» vermutlich Gemische von isomeren Substanzen darstellen. Die Interpretation bereits bekannter Tatsachen über die beiden Naturstoffe und der Vergleich mit verwandten Produkten ermöglicht die Aufstellung provisorischer Strukturformeln.

Effect of methyl phenyldiazenecarboxylate (azoester) on the germination of the fungusTrichoderma viride

Résumé Le traitement des spores deTrichoderma viride avec le nouveau oxydant intracellulaire des thiols, le composé azoester, nous a conduit à conclure qu'il y a une exigence absolue pour le glutathion pendant le processus de germination. Avec le même composé, azoester, on a demontré que GSH est nécessaire pour la croissance et la sporulation du champignon.

Summary Twenty-one alkaloids have been identified from the root ofRauwolfia ligustrina R. & S. The more important ones are reserpine, pseudoreserpine and raugustine, a new base which is isomer to pseudoreserpine. The structure of the latter compound is discussed.

Zusammenfassung Die Autoren stellen fest, dass bei Ratten durch Kastration der Gehalt an Noradrenalin und Dopamin im vordern Teil des Hypothalamus ansteigt. Erst hohe Dosen von Östradiol und Progesteron können den Kastrationseffekt wieder zum Verschwinden bringen.

Riassunto Sono stati studiati gli aloni dei graniti delle isole di Montecristo e del Giglio (arcipelago toscano) e del continente (Gavorrano).Tale studio ha permesso di dimostrare che il loro consolidamento è avvenuto in momenti diversi la cui successione ripete quella dei corrugamenti appenninici. Le età di tali graniti, comparate a quella dell'Elba (Monte Capanne), sono nel seguente ordine:Elba = Montecristo > Giglio > Gavorrano.I singoli stadi sono largamente spaziati nel tempo e gli intervalli sono risultati dell'ordine di circa dieci millioni di anni.
