Hydrolysis of amino acid β-naphthylamides by aminopeptidases in the parotid gland

Zusammenfassung Die Aktivität der Aminopeptidasen in Ohrspeicheldrüsen wurde gemessen. Glycyl-Prolin-naphthylamid, Alanin-naphthylamid, Leucin-naphthylamid, Methionin-naphthylamid, und Arginin-naphthylamid wurden von der Mikrosomenfraktion und der löslichen Fraktion schnell gespalten. Das Glycyl-Prolin-naphthylamid spaltende Enzym war in Ohrspeicheldrüsen in relativ grösserer Menge vorhanden. Die Aufspaltung von Glycyl-Prolin-naphthylamid in Glycyl-Prolin und-Naphthylamin wurde papierchromatographisch nachgewiesen.     

Synthesis and pharmacological properties of [1-N4-dimethyl-asparagine]-angiotensin II

Summary [1-N⁴-Dimethyl-asparagine]-angiotensin II was synthesized by Merrifield's solid-phase procedure. The analogue gave rat blood pressure about 70% relative potency to Hypertensin (Ciba). Summary Investigating the slow positive potentials of the electroretinogram (ERG) of different mammals, c-wave and d.c.-potential proved to be strictly discernible. With respect to its amplitude and its peak time, the c-wave differs in various species. There are two types of d.c.-potentials, a scotopic and a photopic one.
