A statistical analysis on papers and authors in Wuhan university Journal of Natural Sciences in 2003

The author of this article counts and analyzes the papers and authors primed in 2003 Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences by means of bibliometric statistical methods, of which the characteristics of papers and authors are expounded. The result shows that the ratio of reprinting of this journal has been increased and the areas where the authors come from and their organization scattered in the whole world are widened as well, which implies a better-known fame of the journal.     

Discovery of Middle Jurassic palaeontinids from Inner Mongolia, China (Homoptera: Palaeontinidae)

A new genus and three new species of fossil Palaeontinidae， Papilioncossus conchatus sp. nov., P. giganteus sp. nov.　and P. pteroideus sp. nov.， are described. All of them were collected from Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation in Inner Mongolia, China. Based on distal part of forewing broader and longer than basal and Sc usually with branches, the new taxa are attributed to Palaeontinidae of Homoptera and compared with genus Pseudocossus. A key to species of Papilioncossus gen. nov. is provided. All type specimens are deposited in the Capital Normal University.     

Cornell University and Tsinghua Form Strategic Partnership

Dr. Jeffrey S. Lehman, President of Cornell University, visited Tsinghua University on Nov. 8, 2004. TsinghuaPresident Gu Binglin met and talked with Prof. Lehman. Situation Analysis of a Faculty’s Library

The CDTF-Library is a library in Chinese-German Technical Faculty of Qingdao University of Science and Technology in Qingdao.It is very small in scale.It only occupies an area of 60 square meters with 3 reading seats and 5000 original German books.The resources of German in domestic are relatively few and German resources are too expensive to buy.During the past years,more and more readers made complaints,against the limited resource of audio and video materials,lack of new books,short open time and unsatisfied technical environments.
