光纤λ/4波片的温度特性

摘    要:分析光纤λ/4波片的温度特性,讨论应力双折射的熊猫型光纤和几何双折射光纤制成的λ/4波片的相位延迟随温度变化的改变情况,得出几何双折射光纤制成的λ/4波片更为稳定.对自制的两种光纤λ/4波片进行实际测量,实验结果显示,用几何双折射光纤制成的λ/4波片比用熊猫型光纤制成的λ/4波片在-40~60 ℃的温度范围内具有更好的温度特性.

Abstract:In this paper,temperature characteristics of quarter-waveplate are analyzed theoretically.With temperature changes,the change of phase retarder of quarter-waveplates made of panda fiber,and geometrical birefringent fiber are discussed respectively.Quarter-waveplates made of geometrical birefringent fiber is more insensitive.And two types of quarter-waveplates made in our laboratory are measured too.The results show that,between -40 ℃ and 60 ℃,the quarter-waveplate made of geometrical birefringence fiber has better temperature characteristics than that made of panda fiber.
