The construction of pollution sources database is very important for the management of Dianchi basin. In the first part, the paper analyzes and sorts the second nationwide investigation of pollution sources data of Dianchi basin, and then discus the design of database from the conceptual design, logical structure design and database construction aspect in detail. The conceptual design mainly introduces the design of basic entity-relational (E-R) diagram of pollution sources attributes table. In the logical structure design mainly includes the code of pollution sources database, the design of attribute database, spatial database and metadata.
